FlashAcademy® wins BESA award for outstanding curriculum and assessment resource (secondary)

We’re incredibly proud to share that FlashAcademy® has won the BESA Award for Outstanding Curriculum & Assessment Resource – Secondary. This recognition from the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) is a huge honour and a testament to the impact our secondary provision is having in classrooms.

A milestone achievement
This award follows our recent win at the 2025 ERA Awards, where we were awarded ICT Secondary Resource of the Year. To receive back-to-back recognition from two of the most respected awards in the education sector means a great deal to our entire team—and to the educators we work alongside every day.

Supporting secondary learners and teachers
This award specifically celebrates our work in curriculum and assessment for secondary schools – a core focus for our team. Judges recognised the strength of our curriculum-aligned content, the depth of our assessment tools and the support we provide teachers to deliver inclusive, high-impact EAL education at Key Stages 3 and 4.

With powerful features such as:

  • Curriculum-mapped digital lessons tailored to secondary learners
  • Speaking, listening, reading and writing assessments across proficiency levels
  • AI-powered writing feedback that saves teachers time
  • Real-time learner analytics to inform intervention

We are proud to be helping schools meet the needs of EAL learners with confidence and clarity.

We’re especially proud of the results schools are seeing. Over 45% of EAL learners using FlashAcademy® move up by at least one proficiency level in a single year, far above the national average of 18%. It’s rewarding to see the platform making such a tangible difference to learner progress and teacher workload alike.

This award is a reflection of the dedication and expertise of the entire FlashAcademy® team—across product, content, support and training—as well as the brilliant teachers and school leaders we collaborate with every day.

Thank you to BESA for recognising the work we’re doing, and thank you to the schools who continue to help us shape the future of EAL education.
