We’re proud to share that FlashAcademy® has been named Scale-up Business of the Year at the Birmingham Tech Week Awards 2026.
The ceremony, run by TechWM, wrapped up Birmingham Tech Week on Friday 23 October with an evening dedicated to the region’s tech talent and fastest-moving businesses. Jenny Loach, Director of Sales (UK and International), and Emily Hunt, Head of Customer Success (UK Schools), went up to accept the award for the whole FlashAcademy® team.
This category shines a light on West Midlands tech companies growing quickly and with real purpose. As a business that began life in Birmingham, being recognised by our home city’s tech community makes it all the more special.
The last 12 months have seen our international school partnerships go from strength to strength. Through groups such as GEMS Education and International Schools Partnership (ISP), FlashAcademy® now reaches around 180 schools across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. We also support UK trusts, further education providers, employers and public sector organisations, and continue to build out AI-assisted assessment, admissions and reporting so the platform keeps pace with what schools and organisations need.
A big congratulations to every winner and finalist. It was a brilliant celebration of West Midlands tech and we’re delighted to have been part of it.
