Workplace English Content Specialist (AI-Assisted)

(This is a fully remote, freelance role on an initial 6-month contract starting in February 2026.)

We’re looking for a Workplace English Content Specialist to become our in-house expert on workplace and professional English. In this role, you will review and validate AI-generated English learning content for a wide range of professional sectors (e.g. food manufacturing, hospitality, cleaning…).

You will assess quality, relevance and accuracy, and work closely with Product and AI teams to improve, refine and iterate on content until it’s ready for learners. If you enjoy combining Business English / ESP expertise with EdTech and AI, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

• Review and validate AI-generated workplace English content: target vocabulary, supporting sentences, assets, written and audio translations…
• Suggest clear, practical improvements to AI outputs.
• Brief and collaborate with Product and AI teams to generate and iterate content across corporate sectors.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering and AI teams on the development of a Content Management System (CMS) using Agile workflows.
• Build, maintain and update internal content creation standards for Workplace English.
• Stay up to date with trends in Business English, ESP and AI in education and feed these into our content strategy.

Required experience & skills

• EFL expert with a strong background in Business English and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) across multiple corporate sectors.
• Proven experience designing and reviewing English-learning content (lessons, courses, assessments… etc.).
• Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) to create and edit digital learning content.
• Professional experience in EdTech and digital product development.
• Comfortable working in iterative workflows (e.g. reviewing, giving feedback, testing and improving content).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g. JIRA, sprints, backlogs, stand-ups…).
• Demonstrable experience using AI tools for English-learning content creation.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to give clear, actionable feedback.

Desirable experience & skills

• Understanding of how AI language models are trained and optimised, even at a conceptual level.
• Experience with prompt engineering specifically for English-learning content.
• Experience conducting content QA or content audits at scale.
