    Hear from our team

    Veejay Lingiah FlashAcademy

I am one of the Co-founders here at FlashAcademy®. When we started, there were literally two of us working on a dining room table and I literally have to pinch myself sometimes when I see the full team of 40+ all working together.

The biggest gift that I get from working here is to see the impact we have on so many lives. That might be a child who was struggling but is now excelling, it might be a teacher who was stressed and struggling, but is now thriving, or it might be one of our team, who started off a little unsure of themselves but who leant into that challenge and is now a leader themselves.

    Katharine Miles FlashAcademy

I’ve been a part of the Learning & Publishing team since I joined FlashAcademy® in 2019. I love working with talented teams on diverse projects, from creating research-informed lessons to testing new content in the app, and from managing translation work to developing new visual and audio assets for our lessons. Our projects are highly collaborative, allowing us to learn from and inspire each other.

It’s a privilege to create content that supports EAL and ESOL learners, and I love hearing stories about how FlashAcademy® has helped teachers and students. It’s exciting to see concept ideas come to life and be delivered to learners.

    Lusine Nalbandyan-Andreke FlashAcademy

I am the Customer Success Executive for International. I have a legal background, but learning languages has always been one of my ‘hobbies’. I speak English, Armenian, Russian, French, and I am on my new exciting journey to learn Lithuanian.

I really enjoy working at FlashAcademy®, where we are all so passionate about education. I personally empathise a lot with teachers and learners, as they face various EAL challenges. I am happy to help teachers and learners to overcome those challenges, and I believe that knowing more languages can open up more doors and opportunities for those learners. It is rewarding for me to see how our efforts can influence on the young learners’ language development, give them confidence in communicating and seeking new chances in life.

I am myself originally from Armenia, and was born in a small town Stepanakert, in Artsakh, but I am currently based in Scotland. Learning English gave me an opportunity to work at FlashAcademy®, and do what I love now!
