Marketing Manager – initial 3 month contract

We are looking for an experienced marketing manager to own delivery of an accelerated marketing plan for Leap, our ESOL and employability solution.

Leap supports the following audiences to provide English language learning and assessment tools:

  • Local authorities and virtual schools
  • Employers and workplaces
  • Further education colleges

We already have a working action plan. What we now need is someone to turn this into a faster-moving, higher-impact marketing plan, with clear priorities, tighter timelines and additional activity that builds momentum.

This role will initially be a three-month contract with consideration to extend based on achieving the right results. The role would suit someone who is used to managing the full marketing mix and has experience of launching a go-to-market strategy and plan for a new SAAS product.

What success looks like

By the end of the initial engagement, we expect to have:

  • A clear, prioritised ESOL marketing plan in motion
  • Live campaigns supporting active sales conversations
  • Updated messaging and collateral aligned to priority audiences
  • A visible increase in pace and momentum across ESOL marketing activity
  • A strong pipeline of Leads flowing in to the Sales team.

The role

You will own ESOL marketing delivery day-to-day, working closely with colleagues across marketing, sales, design and product.

You will be responsible for:

  • Building a strong relationship with the Head of Sales.
  • Converting an existing action plan into a prioritised, high-velocity marketing plan.
  • Identifying what needs accelerating, what can be deprioritised, and what should be added.
  • Driving fast delivery across multiple channels.
  • Coordinating activity and keeping work moving across teams.
  • Reporting on success in terms of MQLs generated.

This is a hands-on role spanning planning from strategy refinement through to delivery.

Example marketing mix you would be expected to deliver

This role spans a full B2B marketing mix, including:

  • Email marketing and segmented nurture campaigns.
  • LinkedIn activity to support sales-led engagement.
  • Website messaging updates to support credibility and validation.
  • Content and collateral copywriting and briefing to design, such as brochures, one-pagers and insight pieces.
  • Success stories and early pilot or implementation case studies.
  • Webinars and virtual or in-person showcases.
  • Event and networking support, primarily sales-led.
  • Sales enablement content to support live opportunities.

Skills and experience

  • Marketing manager or senior marketing consultant experience.
  • Strong B2B marketing background.
  • Confident across marketing planning, campaign delivery and copywriting.
  • Comfortable working with evolving products and pilot-stage offers.
  • Experience collaborating with sales, product and design teams.
  • Organised, pragmatic and delivery-focused.
  • High standards and high attention to detail.
  • Fast-paced worker with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in ESOL, employability or education marketing is beneficial but not essential.
